Beau Byron – General Manager
Beau got his B.S. in both kinesiology and accounting from San Diego State University, where he played basketball and attended on a sports/academic scholarship. Beau’s fitness motto is, “You are what you eat.” Habits make the man. He believes in promoting a healthy lifestyle where one can still have fun and enjoy their food as long as they do it in moderation. He reminds our clients that hard work always works better than no work, and those who push and constantly strive to be better will be. Beau reminds us that Fit For Life is a family – a family of people all working hard toward the same goal. Motivation is key, and Beau ensures a positive, encouraging environment here at Fit For Life.
James “Hitch” Furlow – Head Trainer
James is an IFBB Men’s Physique professional bodybuilding competitor. He has been working as a personal trainer in the fitness industry for 12 years. James recognizes that health is trending in the U.S. From superfoods to new exercise fads like bootcamp, yoga and crossfit, healthy habits are on the tip of the American public’s tongue. The desire to achieve an improved quality of life is driving consumers to pursue specific health and wellness habits, reading package labels and becoming more aware of what they are consuming. The problem is, it takes a strong support system of like-minded people to maintain healthy habits and achieve fitness goals. That’s why James loves Fit For Life, because we provide a welcoming community that we call the “Fit Fam,” where people truly thrive in becoming the best they can be.
Matt Brown – Head Trainer
Matt has been a personal trainer for almost ten years now. He is an ISSA and NASM Certified trainer. Matt also hold certifications in kickboxing, nutrition, and group fitness classes. He enjoys helping our clients achieve not only their fitness goals, but improve their quality of life as well. If you take care of your physical health, then other parts of your life fall into place as well. Fit for Life is a fun, motivating environment that helps all kinds of people become the best versions of themselves.
Bo Kelley has been personal training for over seven years and has his training credentials through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (N.A.S.M). Exercising is an activity Bo truly enjoys, and it shows. Being able to share his passion for health and fitness with others what he enjoys most. As an athlete, Bo has always pushed himself to be the best. The goals he has accomplished through being disciplined and dedicated to fitness has impacted his life forever, and it is is that same impact that drives him to help make others’ lives better. There is always room for improvement when you strive for perfection. Everyday Bo strives for perfection, and you should too!
Justin “Drew” Spencer – Trainer
Drew is an ACE (American Council on Exercise) certified Personal Trainer. He is currently working on obtaining his Group Exercise certification as well as becoming a certified U-Jam dance fitness instructor. Drew’s fitness mottos are “train with purpose” and “make fitness fun.” If you don’t enjoy your fitness program, it will be almost impossible to adhere to. That is why Drew loves the culture here at Fit For Life Solutions, not only because we strive to always provide our members and clients with the most awesome workout possible, we also make sure that classes are fun and keep people wanting to come back. Dream big, but work bigger.
Danny Fernandez – Head Trainer
Paula Miranda – Trainer
Paula is the senior of the FFL Team who embarked on her fitness journey 7 years ago at the age of 47. After working in the corporate world for over 20 years, she decided it was time to follow her true passion and pursue a career in health and wellness. Her mission is to encourage and teach others how to improve their lives through fitness, health and nutrition. She believes it’s never too late to start something new. Paula is now a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Zumba Instructor, and will complete her NASM Fitness Nutrition Specialist certification in Spring of 2017. Paula has completed many endurance events that include half marathons, a triathlon, a half Ironman and numerous obstacles races. She continues to be involved in community events and group training. “Everyday I see our members getting stronger, and that alone is priceless.”
Zane Waitley – Head Trainer
Zane was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii and grew up with an extremely adventurous and athletic lifestyle. Today, he lives and breathes fitness and exudes passion for healthy living. The benefits that health and fitness has given him are beyond words and he is here to share his knowledge, enthusiasm and intensity with you. He is a firm believer that the metabolic resistance training circuits that Fit For Life offers is the absolute best way to incinerate fat and build lean muscle. Zane says, “Whether you are here to lose weight, get stronger, be more flexible, get your health back, or all of the above, we all came to Fit For Life to become better…SO LETS DO IT!!!!”
Jay Voigt – Head Trainer
Jay comes with an extensive background in fitness and health, with a degree in Sports Nutrition from San Jose State. He recently came back from spending 2 years in Shanghai teaching, coaching, and developing fitness and sports programs at the New York University campus. In addition, he has done personal training and coached competitive sports teams for over 6 years. He grew up playing baseball, football, basketball, and wrestling. Jay also has completed a marathon in Greece, which is one of his greatest accomplishments in life. His passion for sports and fitness has inspired him to help others reach their own health and fitness goals. He prides himself in being approachable, creating a fun environment for workouts, and finding a balance between being a friendly yet effective trainer.
