James “Hitch” Furlow – Head Trainer
James is an IFBB Men’s Physique professional bodybuilding competitor. He has been working as a personal trainer in the fitness industry for 12 years. James recognizes that health is trending in the U.S. From superfoods to new exercise fads like bootcamp, yoga and crossfit, healthy habits are on the tip of the American public’s tongue. The desire to achieve an improved quality of life is driving consumers to pursue specific health and wellness habits, reading package labels and becoming more aware of what they are consuming. The problem is, it takes a strong support system of like-minded people to maintain healthy habits and achieve fitness goals. That’s why James loves Fit For Life, because we provide a welcoming community that we call the “Fit Fam,” where people truly thrive in becoming the best they can be.
Matt Brown – Head Trainer
Matt has been a personal trainer for almost ten years now. He is an ISSA and NASM Certified trainer. Matt also hold certifications in kickboxing, nutrition, and group fitness classes. He enjoys helping our clients achieve not only their fitness goals, but improve their quality of life as well. If you take care of your physical health, then other parts of your life fall into place as well. Fit for Life is a fun, motivating environment that helps all kinds of people become the best versions of themselves.
Bo Kelley has been personal training for over seven years and has his training credentials through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (N.A.S.M). Exercising is an activity Bo truly enjoys, and it shows. Being able to share his passion for health and fitness with others what he enjoys most. As an athlete, Bo has always pushed himself to be the best. The goals he has accomplished through being disciplined and dedicated to fitness has impacted his life forever, and it is is that same impact that drives him to help make others’ lives better. There is always room for improvement when you strive for perfection. Everyday Bo strives for perfection, and you should too!
Avery Yanez – Trainer
Avery is a South Bay Area native with a passion for fitness that started at an early age with sports and dance. She taught group fitness, dance, and cheer classes for six years and can command a group with ease. Bodybuilding is a hobby for her, and she has competed in two bodybuilding competitions in the bikini division. She knows firsthand the dedication it takes to build the physique you’re looking for through exercise and nutrition, and is thrilled to share her knowledge as a part of the Fit For Life team!
Danny Fernandez – Head Trainer
April Charles – Trainer
April is a Bay Area native with a love and passion for strength and conditioning. She has been competitively powerlifting for several years, and her knowledge of strength-building is empowering. Having studied under several Fit For Life Head Trainers, April has developed an array of training styles to always keep her workouts fresh and exciting. While nicknamed “the Machine,” April has a true heart of service and considers the opportunity to help others reach their fitness goals a gift.
Lani Gray – Trainer
Lani is a well-rounded fitness enthusiast who has built her life around health and staying active. She has been certified in several areas including Turbo Kickbox, Mixxedfit and Zumba in order to perfect a variety fitness methods. Lani has also trained in Crossfit and Muay Thai along with dance as a natural given talent. She is super energetic and loves motivating and challenging clients to reach their potential. “You will never know your limits until you push yourself to them.”
